All right guys, almost to the end of the first semester.  I am posting the Final review today.  Also, on Tuesday you will have a test over Ch 12.  Study the work you have done (Sec. Assessments and notes) for this test.

Also, on Wednesday you turned in Pg 322 Vocab, 326 #1-5 & TTU, and 333 #1-4 as homework

Took notes today in class and started on a DNA Coloring assignment that is due on Friday.

From Monday, we took the Biology MOY and started on homework for Friday.  The Homework is Pg294 #3 & the TTU, Pg 299 #1-6 & TTU and Pg 306 #1-4 & TTU.  Also Monday, I assigned your 3D DNA project.  I passed out the rubric and talked you through the project.  There are examples of the project on display in my classroom for you to look at.  THE PROJECT IS DUE ON TUESDAY THE 22ND!  EVEN IF YOU ARE OUT OF TOWN, I NEED THE PROJECT NO LATER THAT THE 22ND!!!

Today, I graded the homework from Tuesday (Pg 599 Key Concepts and 602 #1-4 and TAKS TuneUp) before taking notes on Plant Adaptations.  After the notes you had an assignment involving the following

-Compare and Contrast
        -    Animal Regulation (homeostatsis) and Plant responses (Sec 25-2)
        -    Animal Nutrient Absorption/Transport and Plant Nutrient Absorption/Transport (Ch 23)

-Define and Describe the 2 Pathways of water in plants (Ch 23)

-Describe the Function of Stomata including (Ch 23)
        -    Regulation of guard cells
        -    What role does hydration play in guard cell function

Also, your 6 weeks test is Wednesday of next week.  Here is the review

Started class by picking up homework from thursday.  The homework was Pg 984 SA's and the TAKS Tune-up from the same page.  Also, the vocabulary from 38-2 was due along with copying the chart from Pg 981 into your notes.  After that, we did a liver enzyme lab.  If you missed class, you need to schedule a time with me to make up this Lab.  Lastly, I handed out the instructions for doing a Lab Report.  They are posted below.  Your homework is to do a Lab Report for the Liver Enzyme Lab based on these instructions.  This Report is due Friday.

Today we watched Understanding Viruses and took notes on it.  We then took book notes on pages 471-473, 476-477 and 478-483.  Be sure to include all Vocab, Key Concepts and Summaries of each section.

Also, the test corrections are due tomorrow since I will not see you Friday.

Great day to be alive!  It's Friday!

In class we retook the Cell Processes Learning Check and then took notes on Energy Conversions and compared the equations of Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration.  Then, we finished up with a short video on Energy conversions.

Just an update on today.  We started out with poster presentations and peer reviews of our projects.  The projects were due today but I am giving you until friday to make changes before turning them in. 

After that, we took notes over a short video while I checked the homework I assigned Monday.

Lastly, I assigned a notes assignment for Friday.  Basically you have to draw  the illustrations of a chloroplast (pg 209) and a mitochondria (pg 229) and write a short statement about what occurs during the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.  Also, there is a chart on pg 232 that compares these 2 processes, please copy that chart down as well.

Lastly, you will be given a chance to retake the Learning Check on Cell Processes
